The trail added another course way out west in the Free State. Rocky Gap features
Maryland’s only Jack Nicklaus Design Golf Course. Situated among the undulating
hills of the ageless Appalachian Mountains and the blue waters of the adjacent lake,
Rocky Gap’s gorgeous mountain course incorporates numerous dramatic elevation
changes, tree-lined terrain, and rolling meadows. While easily accessible from Exit
50 on I-68, you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away. The casino, resort, and spa
also come in handy for overnight getaways.
Just over the Maryland line lies Deerfield
Deerfield, one of Delaware’s top
rated and most respected public golf
courses. This outstanding 18-hole
championship course in Newark was
originally built for the workers at the
nearby DuPont plant in Wilmington.
Deerfield is part of Delaware’s White
Clay Creek State Park supervised by
the Delaware Division of Parks and
Recreation. Towering hardwoods of the
state park surround this scenic layout,
which is sought after by players from
neighboring states as well.
Raspberry Golf Trail also added a Honeybrook
terrific course nestled among the
Amish farms of Chester County,
Pennsylvania. Honeybrook, a semi-
private golf club, opens to the public
every day. Honeybrook consolidates
a perfect mix of wide-open links
and tree-lined fairway holes. Subtle
