Ochanomizu Women’s University, Tokyo; B.Ed. and 5 Year from the University of Hawaii.
Graduated from the Tendai Training School, Japan. Worked for 28 years as elementary school
teacher for the Hawaii Board of Education. Resident Minister for the Palolo Kwannon Buddhist
Temple, Honolulu, for the past 12 years. She has served as President of the Hawaii Association
of International Buddhists, and has been on the board of the All Believers Network since its
inception in 2003, as well as on the board of the Hawaii Committee on Religions for Peace.

Mulinix, Dave (Native American Indigenous Spirituality)
Dave is a member of the American Indian community in Hawaii and a Traditional Dancer at the
annual Honolulu PowWow. Dave is a past President of the former Honolulu American Indian
Center which provided Drug and Alcohol Counseling and an Employment Readiness Program to
American Indians in Hawaii. Through the Center, Dave organized cultural immersion activities
to build self-esteme, a support network and community, including: a traditional drum group,
PowWows, cultural immersion camp outs, sweat lodges, arts and crafts workshops, etc. He is
is active in Native American Rights and joined the Water Protectors at Standing Rock standing
in prayer to protect their right to clean and safe drinking water from the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Dave recently organized a fundraiser for the Water Protectors Legal Defense Fund in partnership
with the Church of the Crossroads and Hawaii Interfaith Power and Light. This summer Dave
was an organizer for World Peace and Prayer Day that was held on Mauna Kea. He is a

Payton, Kim Ph.D. (Sufism)
Is Ser Tariq (Servant of the Order) in the Mevlevi Order of America, a 501c3 organization. Kim
has studied for the last 38 years with Macamposteshin Jelaleddin Loras, son of Murshid
Suleyman Hayati Dede, the Sheik of Konya, and leader of the Mevlevi Sufis in Turkey (Whirling
Dervishes), and leads the Hawaii Center of the Mevlevi Order of America with his wife Valerie
Noor Kerima. Professionally, Kim has worked as an organizational psychologist with several
organizations for over thirty years in the private sector, in financial services, real estate, legal
services, hospitality industries, in the not for profit, human services and conservation sector, and
in municipal, state and federal government. He specializes in coaching leaders in understanding
how human psychology plays out in the workplace. Board certified and licensed as an industrial
organizational psychology, Kim brings a trained and objective perspective to understanding
human dynamics, assessment of leadership competencies, and counseling individuals and groups
