SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES ON OUR FACILITATORS

                                        Chatfield, Sister Joan, M.M. (Prayer leader)
               For 36 years, she taught in Catholic schools in Hawaii. She then became the executive director of
               the Institute for Religion and Social Change, an organization promoting interfaith activities, in
               1976. Sister Joan worked at Chaminade Unversity, where she was dean of humanities and fine
               arts, and served as the ecumenical officer for the Honolulu Catholic diocese. She headed the
               Hawaii Committee for the Humanities and Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii. She also held
               executive positions on the Honolulu Commission on the Status of Women, the Honolulu Theater
               for Youth, and Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii. Sister Joan was named among the “Living
               Treasures of Hawaii” for her many years of education, community service and advocacy in
               Hawaii. She stands strongly on many issues of justice and seeks to foster understanding between
               faiths to promote an all-inclusive love and compassion for all humankind. She has been the host
               of a television show in Hawaii that promotes interfaith dialogue. Serves as Chair of the All

                                                   Coble, Linda (Emcee)
               Linda Coble’s award-winning career in television and radio news began after graduating from
               the University of Oregon and moving to Hawaii in 1969.  She was the first female television
               news reporter and anchor in Hawaii, working for both for the ABC and CBS affiliates, and was
               the first female anchor on CBS affiliate KOIN TV in Portland, OR.  She reported the news on the
               top-rated morning drive radio station KSSK for ten years. She now spends her time in service to
               Rotary, The Hawaii Family Support Institute, which is dedicated to the prevention and treatment
               of child abuse, and Family Programs Hawaii.  Linda was the first female statewide head of the
               51 Rotary clubs in Hawaii.  Linda was married for 33 years to the late television news anchor
               Kirk Matthews.  Linda enjoys golf, movies and traveling to Rotary Institutes and Conventions,
               where she is a frequent speaker.



                                                  Roddy, Kevin (Harpist)
               Kevin Roddy is a lifelong musician, and a harp therapy practitioner certified through the
               International Harp Therapy Program (of which he is presently the Curriculum Coordinator). His
               program is certified through the National Standards Board of Therapeutic Musicians.  His
               approach to music is based heavily on improvisation, knowledge of different musical modes,
               sensitivity to the immediate moment, and a reliance on intuition.
