Dear Members,

What a wonderful and fabulous 2018!

We hosted two exciting fundraisers with exemplary support and outstanding
contributions from our members that resulted in expanding our donor reach. Our
online fundraising campaigns welcomed the addition of DoMore24. We also launched
our new donor management platform that will facilitate increased communications

with our supporters to thank them for their generosity and partnering with us to
impact our community.

I would like to acknowledge the incredible leadership of our outgoing President. To thank Sharon Falby

adequately is impossible. Sharon served as the President of the D.C. Pearls III Foundation with grace and
aplomb. Her vision, compassion, and diligent determination have been inspiring. It has truly been an
honor to have you as our illustrious leader, and a privilege, for me personally, to serve as your Executive
Director.

The unwavering dedication of the Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 term is worthy of praise. Your

steadfast support and the out-of-the box thinking proved to be a winning strategy for the Foundation.
We accomplished a lot and as the underwriters our success is the positive impact we had in our
community.

I am very confident that this momentum will carry us into 2019 as we usher in our new administrations for
DC Pearls III Foundation, Rho Mu Omega Chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®.
