presence of glass layers at extremist were effectively increasing the capability of the
hybrid laminates in resisting impact loading with anisotropic failure type as depicted
in Figure 2.27 [34].

The low velocity impact (30 J) of hybrid composites between graphite (GR)
and glass (GL) fibres were compared between two stacking sequences of GR/GL/GR
and GL/GR/GL. GL laminate recorded the highest impact resistant while GR laminate
showed the least resistant. Hybrid laminates recorded the impact resistance which was
better than GR but lower than GL [99].
