Welcome CONSUMER MARKETING SPECIALISTS family news access
to the DO REAL LIFE LEARNING
To gain a more well-rounded perspective on the systems and processes involved in printing and
Family delivering our ADpak-related materials, our Consumer Marketing Specialists visited Quad Graphics
in Michigan.
During their trip, they toured the facility and got an in-depth look into the entire printing process.
“When you visit a printer like Quad, you realize how big the operation really is,” said Skiler Lehman.
Dixon “They aren’t just using a Xerox machine. Our circulars run through large printers at 35 mph.”
Donna Cantu The Consumer Marketing Specialists also gained an appreciation for how intricate the printing and
Tammy Chavera delivery process is from start to finish. “A lot of components go into printing one circular,” noted
Austin Maltry Ryan Cooley. “Everything from how the ink reacts with the paper to how the post office needs
Summer Roots items organized. Quad has a lot of details to consider when they print our jobs and they manage
Michael Smuck every aspect of the process to offer the customer the best price and service possible.”
Adam Swertfeger To add even more value to the trip, they also made stops at three different member stores to see
Blake Wiemken first-hand how they are putting their marketing strategies in action. “It was neat to walk through
a member's store and see how our price cards and display kits are being utilized,” said Amanda
Fort Wayne Bentley. “Godwin Plumbing & Hardware even has a sign that tracks their store’s Facebook likes in
Michelle Baker real time. A couple of us "liked" their Facebook page and the count increased.”
Joe Jones Overall, the trip was a great way to see the diversity in our member stores and help the entire team
Andy Ledbetter gain insights into the way they can continue to help members grow their businesses.
