        members approximately $14,000 and has
greatly reduced the time needed to sort
        items for planograms.
“Todd Harris, Tim Miller, Jim Reininger and I met with Renee Coffman from TAL Holdings, a Do it Best LBM member in Oregon,”
said National Logistics Manager Steve Rose. “She shared with us about the difficulties of sorting thousands of items into individual
planograms for new stores. So we created a way to use our existing systems to organize planograms into zones by store aisle.”

They tested this approach with Miller Lumber in La Grande, Oregon who was placing a large order, four trucks with $600,000 in
inventory. Our Sales team combined the planograms they needed into individual zones and designated which of the four trucks they
        should be loaded on.

Our Logistics team then systematically released the orders to our Woodburn warehouse over a series of days. In Woodburn, they filled
and palletized the planograms by zone and marked the pallets and shipped them according to the plan. With a successful execution,
this helped cut the project time in half, saving time and money.
