Apart from efforts under the GTP, other efforts have also been undertaken.
            For instance, the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), which was
            established in 2003 was tasked to see through the implementation of the
            National Integrity Plan, and to develop the nation to have a high level of
            integrity in our dealings, be it in the private or public sector.

            In addition, all public servants are constantly reminded of the importance
            of professionalism and acting in a manner that reflects the values of the
            public service; and cognisant of the fact that this obligation is not fully
            discharged by simply acting within the law. Tact, courtesy and morality
            play a much bigger role in establishing trust. Where there is trust, and
            with the help of the compliance units, the public’s perception towards the
            public service will improve.

            The myriad Government actions to manage and maintain integrity
            prove that there is a commitment to create trust and confidence in the
            public service. The compliance and integrity units, public engagement
            effort, MyProcurement portal – these are not mere dreams. They are the
            Government’s commitment towards creating a public service with a
            higher level of credibility, that can command a higher degree of respect
            and that can elevate its standing, not just in the eyes of the rakyat but also
            globally.

            Although our services in general have improved tremendously over the
            years, there are still areas for further advancement. Improvement is an
