Welcome to the world of presentations!

You surely know that if you want to be successful in nowadays´ world, you need
to effectively communicate. Here we are going to discuss more formal
communication with a group of people who you want to inform (and probably
also persuade). As we live in a globalized world where lingua franca is English,
being able to prepare and deliver presentations in this language is a must.

Before we start dealing with details of presentations, we should define most

communication aim and with supporting (audio)visual aids (pictures, tables,
graphs, video or audio recordings). It has a sophisticated structure with regard to
the target audience, including time for asking questions.

(Audio)visual aids - tools used for motivating and drawing attention of the
audience during presentations; they contribute to efficient transmission of
information and include e.g. graphs, pictures, objects, video sequences,
                  animations, audio recordings or 3-D.

Presentation skills - the ability to present, set a target strategy of the presentation,
recognize the audience, and prepare an eye-catching presentation.

Communication skills - ability to communicate the presenter´s information,
answer questions, argue, listen, provide the feedback, be able to solve situations
                  in communication.

                                                                                                      4
