No 9 (j) Inclusion of new clause to officially recognise set up of sub-Committees.
AMENDMENT NO 8
No 9 (k) Inclusion of new clause to officially recognise set up of Special Funds – Tan Sri Abdullah
Salleh Scholarship Fund; Tan Sri Rahman Arshard Welfare Fund.
AMENDMENT NO 9
No 10 (a) amendment to the clause to include the duties of the President to chair Board of Trustees
of Special Funds.
AMENDMENT NO 10
No 10 (e) Inclusion of new clause to state the duties of Executive Committee Members which was
silent earlier.
FOR DISCUSSION AND FINALISATION
Clause 8(d) and 8(e) – states that nominations for election for office bearers is submitted prior to the
AGM and its stated in the Preliminary Notice of AGM.
Clause 10(b) states (b) Names for the above offices shall be proposed and seconded and election
will be by a simple majority vote of the members at the annual general meeting
This is contradictory as Clause 8(d) and 8(e) require nomination to be submitted before the AGM
while Clause 10(b) states nomination to be received during the AGM.
Also Clause 8(d) and 8(e) can be considered “faulty” because if the Association is to receive
nominations before an AGM then there has to be a proposer and seconder.
