1. Remove the adjustment tool.

2. Loosen the adjustable stud and move it to the dimension, as shown. Retighten the stud.

b - 76 mm (3 in.) (center of pivot bolt to center of
stud)

3. Install the sterndrive shift cable.
4. Install the cotter pin.
5. Insert the cotter pin from the top and spread the ends fully.
