In unison, Thormund and his men charged at the mage. It was meaningless. In the blink of
an eye, half of his troops faded into thin air, Yorick merely waved his hand. The men kept
charging, it was once again pointless. This continued until Thormund himself was an arm’s
length away from Yorick. Thormund managed to grab hold of the mage. Yorick grabbed the
knight and pulled him into a portal.
Thormund had fallen unconscious. When he woke up, he was not sure if he was dreaming
or not. He was seemingly oating in mid-air. Surrounding him was an ethereal purple space.
Standing behind him was Yorick.
“Where am I?” Thormund asked, still unsure what exactly was happening.
“You are in the void realm. The space that lies in between the living and the dead. I am sure
you are confused why I have brought you here. Why did I not just kill you there and then? I
have a proposition for you.” Yorick said.
Thormund was hesitant but was willing to listen to Yorick, as he knew that the mage could
kill him whenever he wanted due to the sheer di erence in power.
“You have two choices. You will remain here in the void realm and I will be stuck here with
you until the end of time.” Yorick continued, “You will return to the mortal plane and every
one of your men will be slain, but I will spare you.”
Thormund was in a dilemma. He had two options, to sacri ce himself to nally bring peace
to the land, or to sacri ce his men. There was no doubt in his mind which was the right
choice. Thormund had made up his mind, he was going to trap Yorick in the void realm
with himself in order to
protect the land. Before leaving the mortal world, he had one message to his men.
“Men, it has been a pleasure working with you all. Please inform the king that I apologize
for any mistakes I have made in the past. I have enjoyed the many drinks we had in the
