“What exactly happened?” the skilled outlander’s interest was piqued, and it
wouldn’t be a harm to ask, would it now?

“This poster has been renewed for years, kid. Aye, I heard that no one could ever
return once they step into the forest.” the man continued.

Ezekiel remained unfazed. Hell, it got him invested a bit more than before. He
stared at the poster then looked towards the forest. Seemed like he got a new job
to take. Ezekiel thanked the drunk man and left. Being a traveler means being
ready for any occasion, so he properly prepared before setting for the treasure.
Satisfied with the preparations, Ezekiel left the town and started digging deep

               into the woods.

He camped there, having the wilderness testing him in many ways. This forest
was indeed gloomy and ominous. The only thing that stood out was the door

Slowly, the door made a creaking sound as it was opened. Inside was another
world, one that nobody knew of. Ezekiel’s mouth hung open, amazed by how
colorful it was, in contrast to the town he resided in. Lost for words, his feet
dragged him to the nearby village, it became a habit to find shelter for himself.

A kid with eyes full of excitement tugged his clothes.

“You’re not from around here, are you? I saw you walk from the Dark. Welcome
to the Bright! Would you like to stay with us?” she asked. Ah, truly what an
               innocent soul.

Still, Ezekiel didn’t open his mouth and nodded as a response instead. He
needed a place to stay. The child’s family welcomed him. For once, it felt warm.
At night, he’d seek for whatever he was finding and during the day, he’d help the
