Colorful

                                                         By: Celine

His gray eyes stared at the gray skies which covered “The Dark”, a town he

resided in. Ezekiel never in his life felt like living was worth it. No matter where
this outlander traveled, it was all dull. He didn’t really want to die either, so he
kept surviving, existing. Honestly, he was sick of this as well.

The violence in the streets, the drunk men he passed by and the thugs batting
him an eye. These were his everyday life. Lord, did he hate it. Ezekiel spent half

of his life clinging onto the false hope of being able to live, yet he found no solid
answers. Just like that, he gave up.

That was until one day, when Ezekiel had finished all of his travels, where he
thought nothing could entertain his colorless life anymore, a poster appeared in
front of him, as if it was destined for him to see it.

“The Lost Treasure.” That was the headline.

‘So, a poster for a treasure hunt, huh?’ Ezekiel thought to himself.

It was not something he had never seen before. He’d search and find all the
treasure he’d come across. He was no ordinary traveler, he was a man of skills.

So this poster about some treasure shouldn’t be anything to him. However,
something caught his eye. It read that no one had ever found this treasure in the
               woods just outside the town.

“Ah. That ol’ treasure, huh,” a bearded man suddenly spoke. His breath held the
               scent of beer.

“They’re still at it? Bah, ridiculous.” Ezekiel glanced at the man. He was one of

the drunk men he’d passed by earlier.
