“Love you!” she said mockingly, as the cubicle vibrated vigorously.
“I love you t-” Archie’s voice vanished from earshot.
When it swung back open, the cubicle was once again left empty just as it had
been ten years ago.
“To the future and back.” Cassie continued her father’s unfinished sentence
unfortunately to an empty audience. “I love you to the future and back,” she
repeated and chuckled to herself.
