Abstract

This Project, A Bamboo Strip Sharpening Machine for Basketry, has 2 proposes. First, to invent for
sharpening bamboo strips. Second, to study the effectiveness of a Bamboo Strip Sharpening Machine
for Basketry that can sharpen bamboo strips more than sharpening by human hand and get the quality
of bamboo strips. The studying found that A Bamboo Strip Sharpening Machine for Basketry had an
average of mechanical efficiency about 92.80 and took an average time less than sharpening by human
hand about 119.25 seconds. And from satisfaction questionnaire, the average total of usability can
reduce time and it doesn’t take much energy. The machine is strong and get good quality bamboo strips
is 3.73. translated that they are very satisfied with this machine. To summary, a Bamboo Strip
Sharpening Machine for Basketry take time less than sharpening by human and has quality bamboo
strips are as good as sharpening by human.
