Abstract
“Machigoto llumination” uses “Bindama”, which is a type of float buoy. Our school is located in a sea-
side place named Toba City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. It’s near Osaka and Kyoto. Toba is the city which
has a thriving fishing industry. Toba has a lot of “Bindama” left over. Besides, Toba is a famous resort
area. In order to make sightseeing more interesting, this app uses a lot of bindamas to illuminate. And
they will color the whole city.
This app has three functions. The first function is “illumination.” In this function, you can specify the
color, lighting time and lighting method in the application. You can color the city with your own
illumination. The second function is “directions.” When you select a certain destination, you will be
guided by the light of “Bindamas”. The third function is “advertising.” We make ads with the app, we
attach a projector to the bindama and project the advertisement on it. Ads can be projected on walls or
on the ground.
