s India self-reliant when it comes to machine tools? The answer is ‘yes’
and ‘no’. Yes because we have the best brains and the engineering
Icapability to design and manufacture any complex machine tool. ‘No’
because there are still huge imports of machine tools into the country.
If a small country like Taiwan is exporting heavy duty CNC machines to
India, why not we manufacture them? This thought came to my mind
early even when I was working for a machine tool major in Mumbai. Years
passed by, but not a single day passed without this thought haunting me

Turning Point
“The beginning of 2006 brought a major breakthrough in my life. I
bid adieu to my cushy job and started my own company in the name
and style of Shubhline Services. Shubhline started off with machine
reconditioning and retrofitting as its major activity. In a span of 24
years, we could retrofit and rejuvenate some 400 plus machines for
