                  Easy to administer. Can  be used to measure pain  at intervals, over time.   Easy to administer and  can be used with those   with low verbal skills.





                Strengths





                  The scale requires the patient to  define the intensity of their pain  in numerical terms between 0  (no pain) – 100 (severe pain) by  writing their number of choice  on the scale. Higher scores  indicate more severe pain.  Patient rates the intensity of  the pain on a
