3. Call the bankruptcy
court where it was
originally filed and
find out where to
address your letter. It
how to dispute bankruptcy
is a federal
courthouse that issues
the judgement.
You are going to want to speak with the
clerk of courts. It is always good to have
your bankruptcy # available. You can
usually find this on your credit report if you
do not have the original paperwork. Ask
them "do you report bankruptcies to the
credit bureaus When they say NO you can
start with asking them to send you a letter
saying that. If they say no them ask for the
address for you to send a self addressed
stamped envelope to request that
information back to you. It will usually
state something along the lines of "this
bankruptcy was not reported to Lexis
".Nexis
This is what you want the letter to say so
that you can move on to step 4.
