KI NEWS JCI?
JCI Family Day – by Marie Luce Chang-Ko
JCI 101- What to expect when participating in a JCI Bring-and-Share?
First of all, you get a LOT of food made with love. Secondly, these folks
know how to party and finally there is nothing heartwarming than seeing
several generations laughing to together- Now, I know it´s not a
competition but I absolutely loved the BBQ marshmallows - I hadn't had
one of those gooey babies in forever - My next favorite would be the
super moist sponge cake (Mental note to add another 15km to my run).
Another delicacy which intrigued me was the Pakistani salad which was
just wow - The burgers were also really good, they just melted in my
mouth at eat bite - To sum up, you get a lot of food, a lot of love and a lot
of laugh.
PS: My apologies to those whom I didn't mention- my stomach was too
full by the time I reached your dish- BUT (!) you have been added to my
To-Taste list
Induction Session – by Avina Uckiah
“As young leaders, JCI members hold the key to solving some of the most
oppressing challenges of our times.”- Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General
This was one of the many motivational messages which my fellow aspiring
members and myself imbibed during the recent full-day Induction Session held
on 02 July 2017 at the JCI Secretariat.
I found the contents of the JCI Impact and JCI Achieve courses very much
relevant to aspiring members of the JCI community.
I would also wish to place on record the dedication of the trainers on that day,
and would like to take this opportunity to thank them heartily.
We all came out of the Induction Session feeling enriched and enthusiastic 29
about joining JCI and telling ourselves that we can truly make a positive impact
on society as young active citizens working together.
