EXCURSION TO PULAU PANGKOR
During the Merdeka weekend, the members of the Recreation Club went on
a three-day excursion to Pulau Pangkor. There were altogether 24 members who
participated in the excursion.
We left Kuala Lumpur at 8.00 a.m., armed with our camping gear, food, a first-
aid kit and plenty of water. We took a bus to Lumut and then took the ferry across to
the island. We arrived at the island at 3.00 p.m.
Our team leader, Halim Radzi, instructed us to locate a suitable spot on the
beach to set up our camp. We spent two hours getting settled in and then spent the
rest of the evening swimming. In the evening we built a campfire and cooked dinner.

The next day, we all went jungle trekking and explored the island. We located a
waterfall where we decided to have a picnic. In the afternoon we slowly made our way
back to camp and spent the rest of the evening swimming and playing beach volleyball.
The next day, we woke up early and began packing. We made sure that we cleaned
up the campsite before leaving. We headed to the jetty and boarded the ferry to
Lumut. We then took the bus back to Kuala Lumpur.

It was indeed an enjoyable trip. It is hoped that more members will participate
in the next excursion organised by the club.
