Course Outline
The course aims to
• Provide – through well designed studies of experimental and practical Chemistry, a worthwhile educa-
tional experience for all pupils in a technological world.
• Develop – abilities and skills that are relevant to all sciences.
• Develop – attitudes relevant to science e.g. accuracy, objectivity, integrity, enquiry, initiative and in-
sight.
• Stimulate – interest in the environment.
• Promote – an awareness of the applications of science, both positive and negative aspects.
• Stimulate – an interest in Chemistry itself and acknowledge its place in society.
There are many topics that are covered in both AS and A2 courses, A2 being in more depth.
