b) Automated Electrified Monorails (AEMs)
- self powered monorails (SPMs) resemble overhead power
and free conveyors but driven by its own electrical motors. It does not
create obstructions on the factory floor, great deal of route flexibility,
no sophisticated path-following system. Can be designed to interface
with wide variety of production equipment. SPMs employes high
.degree of computer control.
c) Sorting Transfer Vehicles (STVs)
- Automatically load and unload large and small unit loads.
