SIMPLE SALISBURY STEAK



          From the Kitchen of Cheryl Jean (Chelsea’s Mom)



          Ingredients:
          1 can cream of mushroom, divided

          1 lb. ground beef
          1/3 cup breadcrumbs
          1 egg, beaten

          ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
          ½ cup sliced mushrooms

































          Directions:
          In bowl, mix ¼ cup of soup, beef, breadcrumbs, egg and onion thoroughly

          Shape firmly into 6 patties
          In a skillet with oil on medium high heat, cook patties, a few at a time, until browned on
          both sides

          Remove patties from skillet and spoon off the fat
          Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms to skillet
          Return patties to the skillet and reduce heat to low

          Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until done, turning occasionally
          Serve over rice or potatoes



          Notes: Can use fresh or canned mushrooms
