Community-Oriented Policing






                                                              All students attending this course must complete an
                                                              application packet from the North Carolina D.A.R.E.
             D.A.R.E. Instructor Training                     Training Center before admittance. Within that packet
                                                              all students must sign a Code of Conduct per D.A.R.E.
                                                              America Policy. Applications may be obtained from
                                                              Captain Michael Adkins with the Caswell Co. Sheriff’s

                                                              Ten days (80 hours)
            Course Requirements
            Attendance is required at all class sessions. In order
            to complete this course, the participant must actively
            participate in all classroom discussions and activities
            and obtain a minimum score of 75% on a written test to
            be given at the conclusion of the course. Students must
            complete a series of planning and presenting D.A.R.E.
            Lessons that will be chosen by the course Facilitator.
            Students must successfully present a portion of an
            assigned D.A.R.E. Lesson to school age children in a
            classroom setting. Students must bring their uniform.
