On 87 death Anniversary of Vakkom

Mohammad Abdul Khader Moulavi, VMFT
organised a commemoration meeting on
31 Dec, 2019, 4 pm at VMFT hall. The
programme was inaugurated by Shri.
Palliyara Sreedharan, Director, Kerala State
Institute of Childrens’ Literature. He said
that he learned a lot about the contributions
of Vakkom Moulavi during the initiative to
publish a book about History of Renaissance
“Darkness to Light “ by Kerala State Institute
of Childrens’ Literature. He highlighted that
the contributions for Renaissance rendered
by Vakkom Moulavi were remarkable.

An essay competition on the topic “Efforts
of Vakkom Moulavi & its Importance in
Contemporary Society” and elocution
competition on the topic “Vakkom Moulavi &
Kerala Renaissance” was conducted as part
of Vakkom Moulavi Day for college students.
The cash prize of Rs.7000, Rs. 3500/- and
Rs.2000/ for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively
along with memento and certificate for
winners and also participation certificates
were distributed during the commemoration
meeting. The programme was conducted
to enlighten society about commitment rule
of social reformers will building a nation
embeded in a values.
