eople collect different things like stones, coins, seashells
and many other things but my hobby is to collect
bookmarks. Earlier, while reading books, I used to fold
Ppages to mark them but my father once told me not to
do that as we must respect books. So next time when I went
to buy books, I looked around for a bookmark. I noticed many
attractive bookmarks kept on the sales counter. The salesman
put two bookmarks in my carry bag. When I came home, I took
them out and saw that they were very pretty. I still remember
those two bookmarks. They were the first in my collection.
Now, I get bookmarks as gifts. When I go to buy books, I
ask for them. Sometimes, my father brings very interesting
bookmarks which he finds in his collection of old books.
This way, I started collecting bookmarks which soon became
my hobby. My father has also gifted me a beautiful box to
A Hobby store my bookmarks. Whenever I find a bookmark I add it
to my collection. At present, I have eighty three bookmarks.
I want to become the largest collector of bookmarks.

n today’s times, we buy things, use them and throw
them. My hobby is to make beautiful things out of
waste material. Wherever we go, we see lots of plastic
Ibags, empty packets of chips, plastic bottles and other
types of waste that pollutes our Earth. This has inspired me
to try and make something nice of this waste material. I like
spending time on the internet looking for new things I can
make. We can make many things from waste
like photo frames, pen stands, toys, wind
chimes, mats, coasters and other decorative
showpieces. Every time you are about to throw
something you think is waste, think again.
We should promote recycling because it is
eco-friendly, beautiful & unique. In this small
project to reuse, reduce and recycle waste, I
have made a tribal pen stand using an empty
plastic bottle, decorative tapes and scissors.

ne of the things I love doing in my
free time is gardening. Sowing seeds,
taking care of the plants, watering
Othem and seeing them grow is
something I enjoy. I have planted many seeds
like chilli, tomatoes, brinjals, ladyfingers etc.
I ask my grandmother to use them in the
kitchen. When we visit our farmhouse, I enjoy
plucking vegetables with my mom.
