Unity in Diversity
he Nursery KG students celebrated the Nation’s 70th
Independence Day with a meaningful cultural programme
on 17th August 2016 in the Davis Doris Auditorium. Special
Nursery-KG Tattraction of the day was that the young ones were dressed up
in the costumes of different states of India. The young dancers of the
Activities pre-primary classes cast a magical spell on the audience by performing
regional dances representing different cultures of the country. An
enchanting performance was put up by the music choir in the form of
patriotic songs which was appreciated by all. Parents were overwhelmed
to see such an amazing performance by the tiny tots. The Headmistress
Mrs. Manju Rajput extended a warm welcome to all parents and highly
appreciated the performance of the students. The credit for the success
of the entire celebration goes to the teachers and the little champs of
Nursery and KG.

isiting RSJMS for any function is special. This Independence
Day, celebrated on 17th Aug 2016, was even more significant
as the youngest members of the school were performing on
Vstage in the Doris David Hall. What a beautiful performance
it turned out to be! Right from the first announcement kicking off the
celebration till the end when the Headmistress engaged with the bright
little minds, there was never a dull moment. The
participants kept everyone in the audience totally
enthralled and engaged. I could actually see every
parent in the D.D. Hall beaming with pride. Every
teacher who thought through the enactments
must get a very special mention too. Such an
activity which was not just fun but also had a
huge dimension of learning attached to it can only
be thought and put together by the best teaching
minds. Our children are extremely privileged to
have such teachers helping them understand what
national identity and diversity really means. I am
confident every child who participated and viewed
the celebration with attention learnt a lot about
the Indian states, their culture, dresses, food habits
and dance forms. I was so thrilled that I could
write volumes about this special day but here I
must end with a big vote of thanks to all Nursery
& KG teachers, Headmistress Ma’am, all the
support staff who made such a remarkable event
possible. I would like to sign off with lots of love
and best wishes to all the children of Nursery and
KG. May you continue to learn and grow and be
the best in this world!
