                        Why-Why diagrams can be used when you need to:

                           Identify problems that you might be have with plot or characters

                           Identify possible causes of key plot outcomes
                           Investigate plot problems and find a fix

                           Identify potential new subplots and opportunities for character development
                           Define specific tasks for a goal (either your own or your characters)
                           Visualize all aspects of a problem or goal


                        How to use Why-Why diagrams:

                           Clearly state the problem.

                           Brainstorm a list of possible causes and ask why the problem exists.
                           Identify which causes are the most important through data collection.
                           Then ask why the problem exists.

                           Continue to ask why until you get to something basic answer– Often takes 5 whys.
