of his crossing The Atlantic and Steve’s wonderful story of his 6 month trip

Never stop exploring and reporting!
With Nick Mines winning an osCA for his performance on board Hejira will
we see more interactive Vlogs and sharing of adventures? I love the written
word but there is nothing quite like a photograph or video to really
transport us to a different place.
Nick (the technical half) has found a brilliant platform for the digital
magazine so that we can not only upload this printed version of the
magazine but also include the longer stories of your trips and of course
there will be the opportunity to provide links to Youtube videos and other
Vlogs as we use the platform more. So please share more in whatever
format you prefer – you do not need to be a professional to make a highly
entertaining visual synopsis of your trip. We may even be able to provide
video options for repairs and maintenance – George your time has come to
become an online superstar of Southerly improvements. Even I, (the non-
technical half) am amazed at what can so easily be achieved in this digital
age and am happy to try out all these different formats.
It is not an easy time for any of us and I am sure cabin fever is rife in many
sailing households. I hope you all stay safe and well and at some stage we
can get back on the water. So when you can, (and thank you Mark Twain)
Throw off the bowlines, Sail away from your safe harbour, Catch the wind
in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
