Secretary's report

same figure as last year. There had been 49 resignations, but 49 new members.
The Chairman thanked Gusti for the very efficient way she had dealt with
membership matters throughout the year.
Chairman’s Report: Nigel thanked all those involved in organizing the successful
events throughout 2019. He thanked the committee and pointed out that he had
been Chairman for many years. So long inf act that he can now ‘cut and paste’
his annual report. As he has mentioned on many occasions, if there is anyone
wishing to join the committee and take on the officer’s roles, they would be very
welcome.
Magazine Editors Report: Nick and Ali thanked all those who had contributed to
the magazine. While a hard copy will still be produced, the editors are exploring
an on-line edition. The Chairman thanked them both for all their hard work
resulting in the production of a top class magazine.
Election of officers and committee for 2020:
The Secretary confirmed that Peter and Mary were standing down as Rally Co-
coordinators, but Mike Edwards had put his name forward (with a little ‘gentle’
persuasion from the Chairman). There being no other nominations: the following
were elected unanimously:
Chairman – Nigel Campling

Vice Chairman – Derrick Gill
Secretary – Les Webb
Membership Secretary – Gusti Taylor
Treasurer – David Thomas

Magazine Editors – Ali and Nick Boxall
Rally and Events Coordinator – Mike Edwards

Awards: Nick thanked the members who had submitted photographs for the
photo competition and those who had voted. Details of the three winners will
appear on the website and in the magazine, and the photographs will be on the
cover of the next three editions of the magazine.
While there had been many excellent contributions to the magazine, website and
the SOA, the committee had decided (using the words which so often appeared
