Pesticide application is essential to improve quality and quantity of agricultural crops and protects of them against
pests such as insects, weeds, fungus, etc. Yet, when sprayer is filled and/or cleaned by pesticide at farmyard, field, near
the well and river etc, pesticide may directly splash or leak from sprayer components into the soil and/or water sources
during filling and/or cleaning procedures. Consequently, point source pesticide pollution occurs in agro-environment.
In world, to solve this problem, biological system that is called as biobed contains soil, straw, and peat. Researches on
biobed showed that it is useful for removal of point source pesticide contamination in agricultural environment. The
objective of this study is to present of biobed, its specifications, researches, and studies on it.
