SENSORY CURRENTS – The higher currents of attention, con-
sciousness, and soul energy; enliven and sustain the higher
bodies, while in contrast, the motor currents operate and sus-
tain the physical body.

SENSORY-INTELLECTUAL CONSCIOUSNESS – Consciousness that
is associated with all physical and mental expressions and
impressions beneath the third eye.

SHABDA – see: SOUND CURRENT.

SIN – a religious construct that promotes the belief that soul
is impure; ancient Greek archery term meaning missing the
mark; distorted concept of the universal mind power, which
engenders fear, guilt, and repression.

SINCERITY – soul attribute that hinges on the appreciation for
truth and one’s genuine yearning to emancipate conscious-
ness from bondage; soul quality that attracts the Master to
one; a key ingredient to consciously recognize the need for a
living Master.

SOUL – surat; attention; consciousness; one’s true essence and
identity; a unit of awareness; a drop from the divine ocean of
love and Mercy; the eternal spark of formless being; gives
life to the lower four bodies and makes their functions
dynamic; the only vehicle that can rise above the worlds of
duality; a happy and blissful entity.

SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS – spontaneous awareness and direct per-
ception.

SOUL PLANE – regions of pure, unalloyed bliss and concen-
trated spirit; reality of purity, God realization, release from
the wheel of eighty-four, and freedom from the five passions.
