SOUND CURRENT – a down-pouring of anami’s essence that
manifests as light and sound; unwritten law and the un-
spoken language that flows out of the Godhead, creating,
sustaining, and nurturing all life; pure spiritual conscious-
ness; synonymous with the shabda, the Word, Tao, Nam,
audible life stream, logos, river of God, Holy spirit,
the voice of God, Music of the spheres; power of divine love
in expression; expressed as symphonic melodies, and experi-
enced as spontaneous realizations, insights, direct percep-
tions, solutions, clarified understanding, and heightened
viewpoints.

SPIRIT – see: SOUND CURRENT; SOUL.

SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS – Matured consciousness of soul;
the goal of the chela’s moment-by-moment life.

SPIRITUAL EVOLUTION – Movement into our spiritual nature,
in contrast to our primitive human and psychic natures; ulti-
mate attainment in human life; commences via initiation by
a living sat Guru; leads to the emancipation of soul; until this
stage, mechanical evolution and karma irrevocably guide
one’s experience in the lower worlds.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISES – Practices recommended by the living
Master through which all spiritual faculties are discovered,
collected, purified, awakened, and emancipated; means that
allow one’s consciousness to change and one’s spiritual objec-
tives to be realized; the deliberate practice of placing one’s
attention at the third eye center in loving devotion; taught by
all true Masters.

SPIRITUAL REALIZATION – soul’s recognition of the real inner
Master; the realization of self as shabda; the bridge between
self realization and God realization.
