Exploring North Holland

The landscape of North Holland is varied and contains many old buildings
and fine museums. The province can be easily explored on day trips from
Amsterdam but areas such as West Friesland and Het Gooi, a woodland east DEN HELDER
of Amsterdam, are worth a longer visit. You can also alternate sightseeing Den Oever
with more relaxing activities such as walking in the beautiful nature reserve
de Kennemerduinen (Kennemer dunes) near Zandvoort, sailing on the Julianadorp
IJsselmeer or sunbathing on one of the many beaches. Round trips through

During rush hour, roads around the large towns in the southern Mar k er meer
