Skunk

                                       Skunks can hit a target 10 ft (3 m)

                                           away with their stink bomb.

Y ou might think a fluffy skunk would be nice to pet, but

you’d get a terrible surprise if you tried. The skunk’s white
stripes are a warning for bigger animals to leave it alone. If a

predator approaches it, the skunk squirts a smelly yellow liquid from
under its tail. This stinky spray can make its attackers sick or even

blind them for a while, and the awful smell lasts several weeks!

Skunks prefer not to spray, so first they give extra warnings. They hiss

and stamp their feet, wave their white tail around, and dance around
doing handstands. Usually their enemies get the message and leave.
