jobs that went with the recycling plant. That whole area is houses and parkland now; it was
redeveloped when the Stadium was relocated over by Hedebar. And; if I’m not mistaken I
recognise another face from those mug shots. I covered the story.” Corrigan said with a
broad grin on his face.

“I do too; I arrested him two days into my first year as Detective inspector. Michael Hoyden,
low level thug then. He’s over in Hedebar working for the Carnegie Syndicate. Have you any
footage of that story in the Network Archive Corrigan?”

“I was with Dell Tyson’s OB unit, there could be. Do you think these old cases have a
connection with the current situation?” Corrigan asked in reply

Krank nodded and started the vid footage again. “You were pretty quick on your feet back
then Corrigan; that rock just missed you” He said as they watched. The riot that ensued
suddenly stopped when a loud explosion resounded. The camera swung to the source and
everyone in shot froze. Explosives at the base of a tower in the plant had somehow been
triggered and the structure tipped over falling squarely on some of the demolition
equipment. The camera captured the look of glee on the face of the perpetrator, a young
Morden Vasilly.

“There’s one more link in the chain. Current events are connected to this incident, we need
to find out how, and before the person doing this makes his final move. A full scale Turf
War” Krank said the others nodding in agreement.

                                              Trouble brewing

Robin Holloway; the current Head of the Carnegie Syndicate was a worried man. His
sources at City Hall had given him reports about the access to Archives of the City Planning
department. Adding to that; Harry had come back from the Casino job just before the
explosion. He insisted he’d known nothing about the bomb in his briefcase. He’d simply
forgotten it. He’d been due to go Hall of Records to file the Carnegie Archive for old Mr Silas
after the Tambla scam. And his visit to Cordeaux offering the help of the Syndicate had gone
as planned. Cordeaux had also had a rival offer which he also refused. It was inevitable since
his open disdain for the Syndicates had been made public.

“You do realise; Harry, that this looks like we had something to do with the bombing, what
with your speciality expertise. What was supposed to be in the briefcase anyway?” Holloway
asked

“The payoff bribe to sweeten the deal, I don’t know how a bomb got in there, Honest Mr
Holloway. Somehow the brief case got switched or summat” Harry pleaded “I did bump into
a Business type carrying the same kind of case. He must have picked up mine by mistake.
Gee you don’t think that was the real bomber do ya?” he continued slow to realise how
stupid he sounded, Harry had not been the brightest of the Hasperand family.

Mortimer Glass was angry. Mainly at himself for not realising it; but also his
stepsister for dealing behind his back, whoever she’d been working for was stirring up
trouble. His “spy” in the Hedebar camp had relayed the news that the Carnegie Syndicate
were blaming the Kinray Group for killing Jaden Whelks. He knew they’d done nothing of the
sort. Being the Assassin he was he could tell a set-up a mile away. Someone was going to an
