Victory Doesn't Come Easy...
IT TAKES WORK
he soccer team qualified for Nationals by winning
T and Toccoa Falls by identical 3-2 scores. In the
two matches at districts, defeating Johnson Bible
game against Johnson Bible the Cougars trailed 2-0
before rallying for their win. The Cougars never trailed
in their win against Toccoa Falls. Thus the Cougars
became the District soccer champs for the first time ever
and moved on to represent the South Region at the
NCCAA II Nationals hosted by St. Petersburg’s Keswick.
The Cougars entered Nationals seeded third out of the
six team field. In their first match they defeated Grand
Rapids School of the Bible and Music by the score of 2-1.
The Cougars lost their next match to 2nd seed Pillsbury ii
by the score of 4-1. Thus the Cougars were matched Earning our way to
Nationals was an
against Toccoa Falls again in the consolation match. The incredible experience
which I’ll never forget. I
winner would finish third in the tournament. am convinced that the
Lord chose to bless us.
The Cougars scored early and led the match 1-0 until The team played its best
Toccoa scored in the waning minutes of the game. The soccer when it really
counted. The Lord gave us
two teams proceeded immediately into a penalty kick a closeness and love for
one another which will last

Thus the Cougars brought home the third place plaque
for the National Tournament and finished their most
successful season.
