cess sums up the season. The Soccer, Volleyball,

and Men’s Basketball teams all went to

Nationals. A sense of euphoria reigned in the

locker rooms. The athletes’ high spirits were

infectious and spread throughout campus.

Everyone took pride in their accomplishments.

For most of the students, it was the first time

they would be able to travel to the national

tournament.

The soccer team only had to travel a few miles

south to St. Petersburg, but that did not

diminish their excitement of having earned a

eeded position at Nationals. The volleyball team

flew to Maranatha Baptist Bible College in

Watertown, Wisconsin. This was the second trip

to Nationals for the Lady cougars. The men’s

basketball team flew to Springfield, Missouri for

their second venture to Nationals. Baptist Bible

College sponsored that tournament.

Although none of the teams won their

championship title, they all performed well and

gave a good, solid showing. They did their best

and honored the Lord with their efforts and

attitudes. Several players were selected to All

American Teams for Soccer, Volleyball, and

Basketball. Coach Grooms, Coach Wubbena, and

Coach Carver also were selected as Coach of the

Year for their respective Sports.
