ERIC DAVID HEDISON

                Alliance  Francaise,  III,  IV,  V,  VI;  Baseball,  III,  Varsity  IV,  Letter,  V,  VI;
French Club, III, IV, V, VI; Hockey, III, IV, V, Letter, VI; Oceanography Club,
VI; Quaker, V; Soccer, IV, Varsity, V, Letter, VI; Outing Club, VI.

Eric, the class of 19671 s foremost Great Outdoorsman, is an
intriguing combination of sportsman, student and nice guy.
Through much hard work and perserverance, Eric emerged as a
three letter winner in his senior year having won such awards in
combat on the soccer field, the hockey rink, and the baseball
diamond. As a certain English teacher will attest, "Kink" is at no
loss for skill in the classroom, and his efforts in that area have
brought him constant success. But those who know Eric well, know
that his real talent lies in the area of crystal ball gazing. Be it
a horse race, boxing matches, a World Series game or a morning
chapel period. Eric will never fail to foretell correctly the winner—
and sometimes how long the contest will go on. A look in our
crystal ball tells us Eric will go far in the years to come.

                                      PETER SEELEY HOLMES
Camera Club, V; Cross Country, V, VI; French Club, IV, V, VI; Glee Club,
                IV,  V,  President,  VI;  Tennis,  IV;  Winter  Track,  Letter,  IV,  V,  Captain,  VI;
Spring Track, Letter, IV, V, VI; House Council V; Sailing Club, IV, V; Tutoring
                Program, V, VI.

In M.B., and indeed in New England prep-school track, Holmes
is synonomous with high jump. In his sophomore year the tall and
lean Peter appeared in the Field House, unnoticed, and stunned
a group of struggling high jump regulars with his natural form
and spring. Doc, needless to say, was happy, and was even happier
this year when Pete turned out to be a sprinter. But there is more
to Peter than his athletic ability. His dedication to the tutorial
program, and presidency of the Glee Club are reflections of his
character. Although he is quick to laugh and good natured, he
rarely laughs long and loud. This dignity is a part of his serious,
hard-working, modest nature. Peter may not be one of the "brains"
of the class, but he is certainly made from fine mettle.

                                     MARK TAYLOR HOUGH

Baseball, Varsity, III, Letter, IV, V, VI; Basketball, III, IV, V, Letter, VI; Broad
casting Club, V, VI; Cross Country, VI; Flying Club, President, V; Football,
III, IV, Letter, V; Q ual<er. IV, V; Outing Club, VI; Radio Club, IV, V, VI.

Mark may be the finest of the class playboys; he seems harm
less, but some notably valuable prizes— true shutdown artists (?)—
have fallen prey to "Da Da," after having refused other honorable
members of the class. "Da Da" is notable for other heroic actions
at M.B. He was a fine cross-country runner this fall, and in hiberna
tion takes time out for basketball, although certain other influential
people do not agree. As a matter of fact, it is rumored that Da
Da spent more time on the bench than either M.E. or D.P.! There
is no such doubt about his baseball ability, though: for the past
two years Mark has led the team in batting. And word has it that
Mr. Gardner could never have found his way around campus with
               out him for a guide!
