Buddy is Moses Brown's answer to Clark Kent, mild-mannered
reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper (Providence Journal-
Bulletin). With such a first-hand knowledge of journalistic skills, he
became a charter member of the Publications Club. Always at the
top of his class, Bud has earned many an honor and award (in
cluding one in German) and follows up Alan Mason as class math
genius. A part-time athlete this year, Bud accumulated valuable
points as a blazing sprinter on Doc's track teams. With all these
qualifications going for him, we're tempted to think that Buddy
is . . . . well, Clark Kent at least, and he'll make a fine doctor.
DAVID COURTNEY LLOYD
Alliance Francaise, III, IV, V; Cross Country, Letter, VI; French Club, III,
IV, V; Soccer, V; Swimming, III; Letter, IV, V, VI; Spring Track, V; Letter, VI.
If you ever saw Dave on a diving board during a swimming
meet, you might not recognize him until the referee announced the
winner's name at the end of the event, for he is dedicatd to the
sport and can be very serious. But at M.B., "Courtney," the "Scot',
is best known for his good nature, enthusiasm, and wild antics. He
joins in with "Oozer" and "M oretf " as the third member of the
famous classroom and locker room comedy trio. Flashy Dave drives
a gold T-Bird or a maroon Camaro with white racing stripes,
sports one of the class's most "in" hairstyles, and has shown off
an extensive collection of paisley ties. Knowing the serious or
humorous side of Dave Lloyd is an interesting experience, and he
should continue to interest people in the future.
GEORGE HAIGH LUMB, III
Judicial Boarcf, V; Class Secretary, VI; Secretary of S.A.C., VI; Cross Coun
try, Letter, III, IV, V; Captain, VI; Flying Club, V; Winter Track, Letter, III,
V, VI; Spring Track, Letter, III, IV, V, VI.
Ch ip has been running around M.B. for a long time now, and
consequently has become one of the school's greatest runners.
One of the few runners to earn almost I 2 letters (the "Port" might
have hit the magic number had it not been for his defiance of
Doc), Chip has shown he can do well in any event from the half-
mile to cross-country. All of his time isn't spent on the track,
though; Chip is one of M.B.'s social lions. Most winter weekends
he can be seen in his Madras tux, knocking himself out at a Deb
ball in N .Y.C . When spring rolls around he is usually out on the
family island or floating somewhere around the Atlantic Ocean.
As anyone who knows Chip will tell you, he will undoubtedly be
a success at anything he does.
