JOHN JOSEPH KRULIS
                                 Entered 1955
                            University of the South
John’s quiet, bright gaze seems all-encompassing to the inno
cent on-looker. Never outspoken, he peers at the world as
th rough a transparent pane of glass which suddenly becomes
opaque when those he watches would return the glance. This
mysterious sometimes-captain of the Cross-Country Team im
presses a feeling of sanctity upon his classmates—so much so
that they have given him the friendly nickname of “Father John.”
But no one can be certain of the Class Benedictorian’s serious
ness, and, when he says in his haunting monotone “Bless you
my son,’’ his classmates must bow their heads, just to be on the
          safe side.

                THOMAS CHARLES LEHMKUHL
                                  Entered 1954
                                    Clarkson
Tom was the teen-age idol of the theatrical world for his
classic portrayal of Mister Roberts in the play of the same name.
Nicknamed “Lem,” Tom is never presumptuous, but his occa
sional fits of laughter indicate that there is a lively soul dwelling
behind the Academy Award fame. Tom plays a good brand of
football also, and was an active contributor to the Trinity
Eleven’s success. Modest and retiring, affable and quick to please,
well describe Lem’s character. It goes without saying, however,
that there is a little bit of the devil in all of us, and Lemmy
          has his share.
