TRANGE, but sometimes faintly melodious sounds were heard
this year issuing from various floors of both school buildings.
SOften times the doors of the chapel were opened, and the resounding
shout of one of the instrumentalists shook the would-be trespasser
into a state of nervous frustration. The shuffling of music stands,
chairs, and instruments back and forth between the buildings was
finally ended, however, by the recommissioning of the former Third
Grade room as the music room. As a result, the wrestlers often found
           themselves being serenaded.
Besides playing at numerous football games, the combined bands
of the Upper and Lower Schools have made contributions to several
assembly programs. The Dance Band made solid progress toward its
ultimate goal (playing for a dance) when they, also, played in
assembly. The band’s repertoire has steadily increased, so that it
now covers a full range of music from the old and dependable
“Thunderer” to the “Bugle Call Rag.”
Nick Ward, the patron saint of all musical organizations at
Trinity, again proved his worth as the band’s leader, while enriching
it with his vibrant clarinet. In addition, he showed skill in con
ducting the band on those occasions when Mr. Hartman was not
           present.
