PETER ARTHUR SCHILHAVY

Peter may not be a lifetime member of MB, but it seems as though he’s been here forever. Peter is
a sound student, and is strongly committed to the intramural athletic squads. He spends his spare
time down at URI. Peter is one of the missing students at MB, and when he is on campus, he is
either in a class or making a frequent trip to his car. When he drives off the campus for the last
time, he will surely be missed.

                                JAM ES DANIEL SELIGMAN

When Jim left his home in New York behind, he brought with him the self-sufficiency and out
going personality "which a big city breeds. These qualities, along with his academic capabilities,
won him many friends at Moses Brown. As a member of the boarding department, Jim will always
be remembered for his Big Mac Mind Bogglers, which provided three winners with gift certifi
cates to the boarders’ haven: MacDonald’s. Jim ’s concern for the improvement of the boarding
department led him to attend every department meeting, where he could usually be found in the
midst of a serious discussion with Mr. Mullin. The highlight of Jim ’s academic career at Moses
Brown was his recognition as a Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist. W ith his natural abilities and
perseverance, Jim has all the tools necessary to attain whatever goal he desires.

                               R O BERT JOSEPH SETTIPANE

You can always tell Bob from Russ by remembering that Bob did not gain weight during the
junior and senior years. Bob is also a bit more taciturn than his "big” brother. Scorning the contact
sports, Bob joined "D oc’s Jocks” for his year’s athletic activities. Doc considers him a very promis
ing long distance runner, although Bob much prefers a shorter race or a field event. Bob’s aca
demic achievements have always been more than acceptable, although he has had some difficulty
in getting to his classes on time. Academically, Bob has always ranked among the stronger mem
bers of his class. His quiet and unassuming manner is a plus, as Bob moves out into the big world.
