RUSSELL AN TH O N Y SETTIPANE

Russ is the twin who put on all the weight in his junior and senior years. This factor, plus his
extraordinary innate strength, made him a key member of both the football team and the wres
tling squad. His skill in the latter sport earned him the captaincy during his senior year. While
Russ resembles Robert in his quiet and unassuming approach to all situations, he drew away from
his brother in the matter of contact sports, although he did rejoin him for spring track and the
weight events. Russ has done more than adequately in his courses. In fact, he serves as an emula
tive force for his younger brother, frosh Guy. Russ will always be recalled fondly by his class
                                                          mates.

JO H N RO BERT SLEEMAN

A second year member of the boarding department, John could always be relied on to voice his
opinion. He was not only a devoted Allman Brothers fan, but a fine guitarist in his own right.
Academically, John displayed the proficiency of a very solid student. Elected captain of the swim
team in his senior year, John was one of the intrepid few to see the sun rise over the Brown pool
every winter morning. His status as a top-flight freestyler left him just enough time out of the
water to assist Ms. Taylor in planning the workouts. John even succeeded in having the team’s
ancient warm-up suits replaced. Residents of Upper North will remember John for both his
efforts to keep things quiet and for his infamous cries of "It’s ten to two!” after a late night table
hockey game. When John finally completes his last lap under the sunrise, Moses Brown will lose
an excellent swimmer and a fine student.

The one and only D.B. is well known as the greatest MB playboy ever, as every Linkie will attest.
One of the biggest members of the class, he has been a star lineman for Jerry in his two years at
MB. During that short period of time, D B’s warm personality has earned him many friends.
Whatever field he chooses to pursue, he will undoubtedly be inducted into the Lincoln School
                                                          Hall of Fame.
