The Cougar cheerleaders impress the Christina Chapman, Katrina Wahl. Jen

Practice makes perfect is a fitting theme
for the Cougar cheerleaders. They work
on the same cheer over and over until
they know it with absolutely no mistakes

during practices. This is beneficial to
them when they step onto the court to
perform during the games.
During an exciting basketball game, the
cheerleaders keep the crowd involved in
the game. Dusty Burrow says, “You learn
so much by being part of a team — like
unity, hard work, discipline, and patience.
For me, cheering has not only been a
learning experience, but it has also been
a lot of fun. It will be sad to think of going
to a basketball game without cheering,
but I have enjoyed the opportunity to
cheer these past years.”
