Lady Cougars as one of their best ever. “We had only
fourteen girls try out for the squad in August, and only
twelve decideci to stay with the program. We even had a girl on the v . s m
team who never had played on an organized

motto was “Christian Character Counts!” and
their theme chapter was II Corinthians 4. “They
definitely developed a lot of character,” said
Coach Denny. They focused on verse seven,
“...that the excellency of the power may be of
God, and not of us.” They proved this when
they earned first place at the Regional
Tournament. Jenny Goodson was named MVP.

named to the first-team, and Rachel Gardner,
second-team.
