People heard of Girls' En
semble or the Swing Choir and
didn't even know half the time
what kind of music they sang, where
they sang, or even who sang in the
choir.
Swing Choir was composed
of nine guys and nine girls and
Girls' Ensemble consisted of 14 to
16 girls.
These young adults put a lot of
time and effort into their work.
Senior Steve Mowry, a member of
Swing Choir said, “Swing Choir is
composed of the best singers and
dancers of Ralston High." Senior
Fran Goins, from Girls' Ensemble,
said, “You should try out if you
were in any other regular choirs”,
because it was an accomplishment
if you made the cut. Senior Julie
Gibbs and Junior Mike Sail, both
members of Swing Choir, said their
favorite performance was Cabaret
Night. Goins also said “Cabaret
Night was the year's best perfor
mance.” Goins liked this the best
because of the fact that she could
do a solo if she wanted and there
was more than just one choir there.
In this performance Swing Choir
teamed up with Girls' Ensemble,
Varsity Choir and Trumpet Choir
to put on a show for everyone.
Although many were born
with the ability to dance and sing
others had to practice to become
great. But no matter how they did
it their talent showed in their per
formances.
