All kinds of strange creatures showed
up for German Club’s Sweet Treat

Competition is part of Ger­
man and Spanish Club's vocabu­
lary. In one event both the Ger­
man and Spanish club members
contributed class time each week
to prepare and get ready for the
Foreign Language Fair in Lincoln
on April I.
“Foreign Language Fair in Lin­
coln would probably be the biggest
project because everyone helps
out and helps each other and just
period.” Patrick Egger said.
About 35 members went to
World’s of Fun May 8. They spon­
sored sweet treats night in Octo­
ber.
“Sweet treats night went well,”
Egger said. “ We have also gone to
breakfast at the God awful hour of
six in the morning a couple of
times at Village Inn."
Students' appreciation for the
language was done by: “ I) going to
museums, 2) going to Spanish
stores, 3) eating Spanish foods,”
Jenny Stolz said.
Both German and Spanish
Clubs did the same things for the
Language Week here at Ralston.
They participated in a poster con­
test. They had guest speakers,
films, exchange students from
other schools come in, food in the
language that students were study­
ing and there was a different lan­
guage each day of the week. They
also had a market for selling candy.
“A lot of people go for the
activities. A lot go for donuts, but
they are there for the meeting and
that’s what counts.” Egger said.
“ People like to join German Club
because Frau’s cool."
